Machine Data Lake Monitoring

Machine Data Lake Monitor shows whether Machine Data Lake datasets were created, whether promotion jobs are configured, and whether those jobs moved data to the analytics tier or to a Splunk index. Without this app, that activity is split across orchestrator logs in index=_internal and promotion metrics in _mdl_metrics. Operators have to build those searches themselves to answer how many datasets exist, which promotion jobs ran, how many bytes moved, and which dataset or connection errors occurred. The app is a search-head dashboard. It does not ingest data, create inputs, or send data off the deployment. It reads logs and metrics that Splunk Cloud already writes.
