Popup Gazette

Popup Gazette provides centrally-managed announcement popups for Splunk SimpleXML dashboards. Instead of embedding notice HTML into individual dashboard XML files, administrators attach a single script tag to any classic dashboard and manage all announcement content, targeting rules, schedules, and audience restrictions from a unified management interface. All notice data is stored in KV Store, allowing updates to propagate instantly across all dashboards without editing XML. The app supports targeting notices globally across all apps, to a specific app, or to a single dashboard view. Notices can be authored in Markdown or raw HTML, with configurable severity styling, optional start and end times, role-based audience filtering, and display frequency controls including one-time, daily, or dismissible modes. Multiple active notices display as a prioritized card stack, and administrators can republish notices to re-show them to users who previously dismissed them. The management interface is built in React, supports English and Korean locales, and can be embedded in other apps to scope notice management automatically.
