Hitachi Content Platform (HCP Classic v10.0.0.131) exposes operational and performance metrics through built-in Prometheus endpoints. Without Splunk integration, administrators must manually troubleshoot storage, gateway, and replication issues.
Hitachi HCP Classic for Splunk automatically collects Prometheus metrics from HCP over secure HTTPS and indexes them into Splunk as structured events. This allows Splunk users to monitor system health, API latency, storage usage, replication status, and service activity from a single place.
The add-on supports both collect-all metrics and selective metric collection, and works with HCP’s documented Prometheus interface on port 9094.
