The Effective Configuration add-on lets you quickly inspect the configurations (inputs.conf, outputs.conf, deploymentclient.conf, server.conf files) installed on your forwarders directly from the agent management view, without the need to log in to the forwarders or run btool. This add-on saves time and eliminates the need to contact other teams, helping you access the information you need in seconds instead of days. The Effective Configuration add-on is designed to work exclusively with Splunk agent management functionality. Thus, the add-on cannot be used without it.
