Flag As Inappropriate

As of August 2021, Splunk® has not natively provided a way to compare multi-value fields to identify intersecting values.

This app solves that by providing you the "mvcompare" command. Compare two mv fields, or two comma/space separated strings.
The command also allows for case sensitivity control, because I was thinking about other potential use cases as I wrote this quick command.

If you believe you have an issue or are curious on any other functionality, let me know.
If you found this helpful, leave some good ratings. Thank you!

This is a searchhead application.

Whether a standalone instance or a cluster, deploy and enjoy (Splunk® restart required).

The command will be available globally to use in any other app.

|mvcompare mv_left=<field> mv_right=<field>

|mvcompare mv_left=<field> mv_right=<field> case_sensitive=<optional-boolean>

Note, by default case_sensitive will be false.
