Microsoft Windows DHCP addon for Splunk

Splunk AppInspect Passed
Admins: Please read about Splunk Enterprise 8.0 and the Python 2.7 end-of-life changes and impact on apps and upgradeshere.
This TA provides CIM field extractions and pre-built panels for Windows DHCP Logs.

The prebuilt panels allow you to visualize the type of events your DHCP servers are processing, and investigate leases, errors and warnings.

A panel is also included which shows addresses which have recently been issued to more than one host, and uses the custom Timeline Viz, which is available here:

This TA does not include any inputs.
It is left to the user to implement collection of the DHCP log files as deemed best fit for your environment

The following example stanza will collect the DHCP logs from windows server and set the correct sourcetype:

sourcetype = dhcp
crcSalt = <SOURCE>
alwaysOpenFile = 1
disabled = false
whitelist = Dhcp.+.log
