The Ziften ZFlow Add-on is responsible for ingesting Ziften ZFlow data into Splunk and convert it in to Splunk's Common Information Model (CIM) for data indexing and integration with Splunk Enterprise Security (Splunk ES)

The Ziften Technologies ZFlow Technical Addon for Splunk ingests ZFlow data into Splunk and convert it in to Splunks Common Information Model

• Ziften Zenith 5.1+
• Splunk 6.0+
• Splunk Add-on for IPFIX (https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/1801/)
• TA-ZFlow-1.0.0.tgz
• ZFlow-1.0.0.tgz (optional)

1. If not already installed, install the Splunk Add-on for IPFIX in Splunk
2. Install TA-ZFlow-1.0.0.tgz in Splunk
3. Install ZFlow-1.0.0.tgz in Splunk
4. From your Splunk App directory, change directory into TA-ZFlow/default/
5. Copy the file zflow_5.1.iespec into <Splunk App Directory>/Splunk_TA_ipfix/default/information-elements/
6. Log in to your Ziften server
7. Edit the file /opt/Ziften/zlabmq.settings
a. Set IPFIX_COLLECTOR_HOST to your Splunk host IP or hostname
b. Set IPFIX_COLLECTOR_PORT to the port your Splunk Add-on for IPFIX is listening on (default is 9000)
