The Slack App for Splunk also provides prebuilt dashboards for Slack monitoring. Effortlessly track metrics including: where and how often your users are logging in, and storage usage by team member with ready-to-use dashboards.

How to Generate a Slack Token for Splunk

On May 5, 2020 Slack announced that developers and users will no longer be able to create legacy tester tokens. Existing tokens will continue functioning as long as they are in use.

Follow these steps to generate a Slack token for use in Splunk with the Slack App for Splunk Add-on:

  1. Create a new Slack App with the following scopes:

  1. Install the App to your workspace.
  2. Copy the token from the App and use that in Splunk.
