Cribl LogStream Metrics

The Cribl LogStream Metrics app is used in conjunction with Cribl LogStream to help you take control and shape your data. LogStream allows you to implement an observability pipeline which helps you parse, restructure, and enrich data in flight– ensuring that you get the right data, where you want, in the formats you need.

Simple Installation Procedure

1. Install and navigate to the Cribl LogStream_Metrics app on the Search Head.
2. Create a new metrics index called "logstream_metrics" in Splunk
3. Ensure the, "logstream_metrics" index is deployed to the indexers.

Cribl LogStream:
1. Under Sources/Cribl Internal/CriblMetrics select the, "Enabled" toggle switch.
2. Under Fields (metadata) add the following:
Name: index
Value: "logstream_metrics"
3. Save, deploy, and enjoy!
