Fix hostnames on UFs

Splunk AppInspect Passed
Admins: Please read about Splunk Enterprise 8.0 and the Python 2.7 end-of-life changes and impact on apps and upgradeshere.
Whenever a server in your environment is cloned or renamed without your knowledge, the UF will be hardcoded with the wrong name in server.conf and inputs.conf in etc/system/local, confusing both the Deployment Server and the indexed data. The rectify_hostname app detects and fixes the .conf files on those UFs. The app also converts every hostname to lowercase (a distraction with Windows) and truncates the FQDN (a distraction with Linux), keeping Splunk searches cleaner for users.

Add this app to your Deployment Server, and keep deployed to all Universal Forwarders (Windows, Linux, Solaris, and (untested) AIX) for hostname maintenance. Executes PowerShell and bash scripted inputs on splunkd start. Requires GNU tools on Solaris/AIX. Not advisable for deployment to Splunk indexers or to Domain Controllers. More details in the README.
